Iness Rychlik is a Polish-born photographer and filmmaker with a particular interest in historical drama. She graduated with first class honors in film from Screen Academy Scot-land and has received a Golden Tadpole nomination for her cinematographic work.
Despite her severe myopia, she has been dedicated to visual storytelling for over a decade. She has recently shot and directed two short art documentaries for the BBC Scotland. Her style is recognized all around the world for the dark feminine erotica in a Victorian Britain set-ting. She is fascinated by the idea of conveying sexuality and cruelty in a subtle way as well as provoking the viewer’s imagination, rather than satisfy it.
