Ella & Pitr, born in 1984 and 1981, are street artists duo, who began to by exhibiting their drawings on the walls of Saint-Étienne in 2007. In 2009, they illegally made their way in the contemporary art exhibition "Born in the street" at the Fondation Cartier. Because of this, they were noticed by Thomas Schmitt, who advised them to act on "Le Mur" in Paris. They began to integrate the principle of anamorphosis into their work. They collaborated in 2013 with the Comédie de Saint-Étienne to create communication visuals by exposing their anamorphic works on stage. In 2013 the couple began to paint giant figures in different countries with the size varying depending on the medium, ranging from 500 square meters to 21000 square meters.
As part of the NuArt Festival in Norway, Ella & Pitr managed to produce the world's largest figurative work on a roof, with Lilith & Olaf, 21000 square meters. However, this record was quickly broken when in 2019, on the roof of the Parc Expo in Paris, they painted an urban work of 25000 meters squared.
