“For this painting I have decided to represent
a deferent moment of the maternity.
I wanted to explain the unconditional love that mothers
can give to their children, especially during the moment
when the child becomes a teenager, where they are more
selfish, and how particularly in that difficult moment the
mother gives all of her love and compression to them.
For that reason, in the t-shirt the mother wears “you”
and watches her child with open arms, while the boy
wears “me”, symbolising that moment in your life when
you’re transtitioning from your childhood to your adolescence,
and you start thinking only about yourself.
If you notice, the boy looks at the audience. He still
showing his love to his mother, but in a secondly way.”
