Sora is inspired by none other than an AI image that I saw on Instagram. I decided to do a little research to understand where the imagery comes from, and it took me to a mix-match of Japanese and traditional Korean wear combined. The name Sky came from the idea she made in a cloud, in a world that does not exist and has its own traditions. She was a way for me to look at AI with less fear and test my views on this controversial artistic new machine. I find AI to be no more than a visual mismatch of search engines; she was created inspired by something that is not real, something you cannot touch—like the sky—an idea that is not physical, like an AI creation. I gave her life.
