Step into a world where surrealism meets meticulous craftsmanship, and the subconscious is brought vividly to life. At Dorothy Circus Gallery in London, this exhibition brings together the captivating visions of Brazilian artists Rafael Silveira and Flávia Itiberêpartners in both life and artwhose works blur the line between dream and reality, exploring the rich terrain of the human psyche.

Rafael Silveira, born in Paraguaná in 1978, transforms traditional painting into immersive, psychological experiences. Fusing pop culture with classical technique, his hallucinatory portraits—framed by elaborately sculpted, hand-crafted borders—echo the influences of Magritte, Arcimboldo, and German Expressionism, while channeling the cinematic flair of Tarantino and Lynch. With heads replaced by blooms, birds, and smoke, Silveira’s characters exist in a vibrant liminal space, inviting contemplation of the unseen forces that shape emotion, identity, and transformation.

Alongside him, textile artist Flávia Itiberê brings an equally compelling voice to the conversation. With a background in fashion and a keen awareness of its transient nature, she turned to embroidery and fabric as enduring forms of expression. Her intricate hand-stitched works and large-scale textile installations are poetic reflections on femininity, memory, and the inner world. Through her practice, she has helped shape a powerful, cohesive narrative in which the emotional and symbolic are seamlessly woven into the visual.

Together, their works create an enthralling, otherworldly dialogue—one that invites viewers to pause, reflect, and journey inward, right in the heart of London at Dorothy Circus Gallery.
