On the occasion of the ART TAIPEI 2022 edition, Dorothy Circus Gallery is proud to present 'A Walk On The Silk Road', a group presentation featuring: Kazuki Takamatsu, Millo, Marion Peck, Clementine de Chabaneix, Clementine Bal, Sergio Mora, Chishi Morimura, Cheng Cheng Yi, Fatima Ronquillo, Jana Brike, Luke Chueh, Tokuhiro Kawai, Paolo Pedroni and BLIC.
'A Walk On The Silk Road' was born with the intent to retrace the path dating back to the Roman Empire as the peak for cultural exchange. This exhibition is as well a statement representing the friendship that Dorothy Circus Gallery celebrates every year with continuous collaborations with Artists and galleries from Asia.
Every day we metaphorically walk through this path, across art and mutual research. The symbol of the Silk Road becomes the path for celebrating friendship and mutual empowerment in the art and culture market.
The presentation at the ART TAIPEI 2022 edition is an essential opportunity for Dorothy Circus Gallery to underline the profound esteem and admiration for Asian society and to emphasize the closeness once again between our values. Selected due to their original visual code and their impact on the European audience, the selected Asian Artists are only a few among many others who have collaborated with the Gallery in the past fifteen years.
'A Walk On The Silk Road' aims to bring on stage an intense dialogue between the representatives of the contemporary Asian movement and the European approach of Italian artist Millo and Paolo Pedroni, Spanish artist Sergio Mora, and French sculptresses Clementine De Chabaneix and Clementine Bal. 'A Walk On The Silk Road' is also a statement representing the friendship that Dorothy Circus Gallery celebrates every year with continuous collaborations with Japanese galleries, such as Gallery Sumire, Gallery Gokuye, Gallery Tomura, and Gallery Tsubaki. In addition, it's a continuous partnership with cultural embassies and institutes that have supported many of our artists and us. To name a few in Rome and London: The Institute of Japanese Culture, Embassy of the Republic of the Philippines, Korean Cultural Institute, Chinese Cultural Institute, Japan Season of Culture 2019/2020 and Japan & Italian Society.
