I attempt to present a subtle relationship between multifaceted emotions and individuals during a particular moment. The painting is deliberately vague, and the addition of the traditional wedding photo on the wall amplifies the ambiguity of time and space. I hope the viewer will be drawn into the painting, and that they can relate to the characters and feelings depicted in the scene, thus prompting contemplation on the complexities of human relationships. The wedding portrait I include in my work is a traditional Chinese wedding photograph, which was especially popular in the past, during my parents' generation. I use this image as a symbol of nostalgia and as a reminder of the past, so that the wedding portrait becomes part of the story and reinforces the feeling of confusion in human relationships.
